π« In modern typography today, there are no rules set in stone for combining typefaces. You can be as flexible, experimental as you want β as long as you are guided by common sense.
For example, you may use a delicate, streamlined Playfair Display typeface for headings but a long text in a small type size will be difficult to read. So why not use a more neutral typeface such as PT Sans for the main text?
