Use Futura for bold design-influenced websites such as portfolio pages for photographers, web designers, or interior design studios. Futura PT looks good when accompanied by Cormorant Garamond, Mediator Serif, and PT Serif.
Futura was designed by the German typographer Paul Renner in 1925-1927. He envisioned it as a typeface of the future, where the form was defined by function, in the best of the Bauhaus design traditions. It gained popularity worldwide, and its 'homemade' Cyrillic version was used for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.
