Zero Block's vector editor has received several major updates, including two brand new shapes, a freehand drawing tool, zoom control widget, and more.
Explore all the updates that make working with vector elements on Tilda easier than ever👇
Polygon and Star Shapes Draw polygons and stars with a specified number of vertices using the new Polygon and Star shapes. Add a shape to the artboard and adjust it using the controls or by entering values in the Count and Ratio fields.
Freehand Tool The new tool lets you draw freehand shapes that turn into vector lines. To continue drawing, extend the lines from their endpoints. Once satisfied, customize your shape like any other element—adjust the fill color, stroke width, size, etc.
Stroke Customization Widget Select an element and click the toggle icon next to the width field to open a widget for adjusting stroke settings. You can round corners, set the fill and stroke order, choose a stroke style—dotted, dashed, solid—or create a custom one. Here, you can also change how the line's endpoints look.
Layers Panel If you have several elements on the artboard, manage them using the Layers panel. You can change the order of shapes, rename, lock and hide them, etc.
To open the Layers panel, you can:
use the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + L
click the icon in the lower-left corner
click three dots in the toolbar → Layers
Right-clicking on a specific layer opens a context menu with available settings.
Zoom Control To adjust the zoom level of the artboard, click the zoom widget in the lower-right corner of the screen. You can enter the value manually or select preset options from the context menu.
Pixel Grid If you zoom in the artboard to 600% or more, the pixel grid will automatically be enabled. To turn it off, either uncheck the Pixel grid option in the toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + '.
Element Snapping When moving elements around or drawing new ones, red guides will appear to help you align them with the center, outer edges, or anchor points of existing shapes.
