3 Tips to Improve Your Website Navigation with Simple Tilda Tools

1. Make sure there's no "dead-end" at the end of the page
🤝 Don't abandon the visitors once they've reached the end of the page. Give them the opportunity to jump back to the top of the page, go to the main page, or the next page.

If you've created a landing page, it’s a good idea to reintroduce a call to action at the bottom. If you posted an article, add some links to similar posts. Use blocks from the Tile & Link or Index categories.

2. Hide repetitive content
👀 Scrolling through lots of repeating, similar elements is tiresome. Use the button that will hide some of the elements and reveal them on click.

👉 A quick tip: specify on the button how many elements are hidden behind it.

There're several ways of hiding a piece of content:
  • The “Show more” button. You can find it in the Form and Button category, block BF703.
  • Text in drop-down blocks. This works very well for long lists describing your services and Q&A. Find it in the Text Block category, block TX16.
  • Tabs with drop-down content. Find them in the Menu category, blocks ME602 and ME603. These blocks allow you to create several tabs on the page and display different content on click within one page.

3. Set a friendly URL
🔗 URL is a link that appears in the address bar of the browser. User-friendly links help users navigate the website just by looking at the address.

Use human-readable URLs such as "/works", instead of a system address such as "/page4652188.html".

If you have a single-page website that is divided into sections, it's better to use anchor links with meaningful names, such as #about or #contacts, because they also appear in the address bar.

On Tilda, you can change the URL in Page Settings 😉

If you want to use several words in the page URL, divide them with a hyphen instead of an underscore (it's better for your SEO). For example, "/about-us" or "/our-works".
