🖥️ Hero Section Key Elements

A hero section, or cover page, is the first thing visitors see when landing on your website. It must be clear, concise, and motivate them to take further action.

Learn what to include in the hero section to ensure it converts effectively 👇

Navigation Menu

A well-designed navigation menu helps visitors quickly find what they need. Limit it to no more than five items (if more, use a hamburger menu), and include anchor links that lead directly to relevant sections.

Contact Information

Include a valid phone number, or if phone support isn't available, provide social media links where visitors can reach you. For local businesses, it's important to specify the city and area you're located in.

Relevant Headline

The title and description in the hero section should clearly explain what your business is about and the problem it solves. Keep it brief and focus on the key benefits for potential customers.

Effective CTA

Include a clear and concise call-to-action (CTA) so visitors instantly know what you want them to do. For example, the button can say "Submit Request," "View Catalog," "Learn More," etc.

Helpful Visuals

Your unique selling proposition (USP) is what sets you apart from the competition. Use images, illustrations, or infographics to showcase your USP and demonstrate how you can provide value to your customers.

What To Avoid

It's tempting to add a lot of useful information to the hero section, but too much can overwhelm users. Focus on key details and ensure there is enough white space between content and design elements for readability.

On Tilda, you can easily create a hero section using pre-designed blocks from the "Cover" and "Menu" categories in the Block Library, or build one from scratch using Zero Block.
