Tilda Docs. Build Knowledge Bases, Manage Project Documentation & Store Notes

Tilda now offers a new free built-in tool for creating, storing, and managing documentation, manuals, guides, and notes—Tilda Docs. Organize information the way you want: Create company handbooks, project documentation, team wikis, public knowledge bases, personal notes, and more.

Tilda Docs features an intuitive block-based editor that allows you to create text documents, add videos, and upload images. You can also organize your documents into folders for better structure.

Tilda Docs Use Cases

Tilda Docs is perfect for both personal use and business needs. Here are some examples:

  • Build a Team Wiki
Create a digital hub to store essential information for your employees. Include details such as company policies, team directory, training resources, FAQs, etc. This will help your team easily find answers on their own and speed up the onboarding process for new hires.

  • Create a Personal Knowledge Base
Collect and organize content that's part of your daily life: Personal notes, learning materials, travel plans, favorite recipes, useful resources, etc. Keeping everything in one digital space makes it easier to access and use the information.

  • Share Public Documents
Whether you're managing a Facebook group and want to share useful materials with your followers, or you're job hunting and need a digital resume, Tilda Docs makes it easy to create, design, and publish documents accessible through a customizable URL with a tilda.ws subdomain. Your document will look great and be responsive on all devices. You can also create documents like test assignments, client briefs, commercial offers, etc. and restrict access with a password (available only with Business plans).

How To Create a Doc

In the Dashboard, click More → Wiki/Docs → Create. You can have only one Docs project per account, and it won't affect your project limit.

Docs are created in an intuitive block-based text editor. If you've used Feeds or the Course Builder before, you'll find it very familiar. In Tilda Docs, you can write text, add videos, upload images, highlight quotes, create headings, and easily apply formatting.
You can set a custom icon for each page and adjust typography and style settings in the Documentation Settings. You can also drag, drop and rearrange pages, duplicate them, and organize documents into folders.

How To Share a Tilda Doc

Currently, there are three ways to share your document:

  1. Publish it as a webpage and share the link. With a Business Plan, you can restrict access with a password.
  2. Add co-workers to the project and assign their access as view-only or with editing rights. You pay separately for each added co-worker in the Docs Settings.
  3. Transfer your Doc Project to another account. For example, if you build a website for a client and gather important project information in a related Doc, you can transfer both the website project and the Doc project to the client's account once you're done.
